FREEDOM IN NUMBERS

Signature work of art for the McCormick Tribune Foundation's new Freedom Museum, located in the base of the historic Tribune Tower on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.

FIELD OF PLAY

A temporary pavilion for the Olympic bid in Paris, composed of a kit-of-parts including tower cranes, scaffolding, and bagged trees, highlights the environmental impact of mega-events and the structures needed to support them.

A mobile structure fabricated with reclaimed PVC pipe, reflects biophilic patterns from the surrounding natural environment, drawing attention to the impact of the construction industry waste stream.

ECOLOGY OF FOREIGN OBJECTS

An environmental center, protected with a hybrid enclosure of car hoods, reclaimed utility poles, endemic vines, and energy generating devices, acts as a foreign object in the landscape, establishing a dialogue between nature and artifice.
