Candyman

“Base Conditions” serves as a film set for the major motion picture “Candyman” directed by Nia DaCosta and co-written and produced by the Oscar-winning Jordan Peele.

Base Conditions, located in downtown Chicago’s historic Marina City towers, was selected as a filming location for a pivotal scene in the 2021 reboot of Clive Barker’s classic 1992 horror film. Both Bertrand Goldberg’s Marina City Towers and Strawn Sierralta’s project were featured in a two-page article in the November 5, 2021 edition of the The Wall Street Journal.

DaCosta’s film, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Teyonah Parris, opened as the number one movie in America and has worldwide box office revenues of $77 million as of November 2021.
