Strawn.Sierralta is a young, boutique architecture and design studio based in Chicago, Illinois.

We dedicate ourselves to only a few exciting projects at a time, and are deeply committed to investigating the specific qualities of each project - its natural, cultural, social and political environments. Our goal is to find fresh solutions that are simple, bold, innovative and unexpected.

Named the Chicago Architectural Club and the AIA's Emerging Visions in 2007, Strawn.Sierralta has received both national and international recognition.

Strawn.Sierralta's projects have been shortlisted for the 9/11 Memorial Competition, the Ford Calumet Environmental Center Competition and the McCormick Tribune Foundation's Sculpture Competition. Strawn.Sierralta has won the History Channel's City of the Future IBM Engineering Innovation Award, the Global Green Sustainable Housing Gold Star Award, EcoShack's Green Tent Competition and a Notable Entry Award for the Paris 2012 Olympic Landmark Competition.

Strawn.Sierralta's work has been featured in numerous publications including: Dwell, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, Newsweek, Architectural Record, Competitions Magazine and Architect Magazine.

Strawn.Sierralta's projects have been exhibited at: The Museum of Science and Industry (Chicago), The Chicago Architecture Foundation, The Graham Foundation (Chicago), The Chicago Cultural Center, The Acme Artworks Gallery (Chicago), High Desert Test Sites (Joshua Tree, CA), gardenLAb (Pasadena, CA), The Art Museum of Western Virginia, Pavillion de L'Arsenal (Paris), Centro de Bellas Artes (Maracaibo, Venezuela) and The World Financial Center (New York).
