In November 2006 Strawn.Sierralta was invited to participate in the History Channel’s City of the Future: Design and Engineering Competition, sponsored by IBM, Infiniti and in association with the American Institute of Architects. Handpicked architecture firms from New York, Los Angeles and Chicago were challenged to envision what their cities would be like in 100 years. Strawn.Sierralta’s 13 member team included engineers, architects, an artist, model makers, a graphic designer, an industrial designer and urban planners to make it all happen in one short week. Strawn.Sierralta was named the winner of the IBM Engineering Innovation Award.
